    My personal writing journey
    My road to be an author was long, winding, and bumpy, crossing over two continents.           I grew up in a small town of China during the Cultural Revolution. It was a cultural desert. There wasn't a single library in our town.  All Western and Chinese traditional arts and literature were considered virtueless and forbidden. We had no TV, only radio, and occasionally, Russian movies. We had eight national Beijing opera shows, but that was it. Chinese people read Mao's little red books
